In my country, there ar mainly plains and river valleys in the south, although there are quite a few hills in the noth. In the south-west of England, where I live, there are also moorlands like Exmoor and Dartmoor. The area I like most is the Jurassic Coast because it's got beautiful bays and cliffs. A part of it's in Dorset and part of it's in Deven and it's not a word heritage side. It's important because it's got an incredible viraty of rocks, rock formations and fosels. Some of the rocks there are over 2050 millions years old. My favourite natural landmark there is Durdle Door which is a rock arch. It's huge and sticks out into the sea. It's really impressive! One of my favourite man-made landmarks is Stonehenge, a prehistoric stone circle about a 100 km west of London. It's one of the most important prehistoric sides in the world because of it size and because it's so well preserved, despite being built 4500 years ago. There are different theories about what it was used for: it could've been a burial side or it might've been a place where people came to be healed. The stone circle also functioned as a kide of observatory of the stars and planets which would've been very important for the religion of the people than. I also like the Gherkin in London, a morden skyscraper made of metal and glass with 5500 glass panels. The Gherkin is a financial area of London, the city, and was finished in 2004. It has 40 floors and it 1080 meters hight. The building is already one of Londonres favourite landmarks and it's also one lots of prices for it's revolutionary green architecture. I think, the designs really cool. One day I'd like to visit the restaurant on the top, it mast have amazing views, you know.

Success
1. What is your biggest success in life?
My biggest success in life was in 2012 when I got the 1st place on Russian Conference. In that year I wrote a scientific work on the Russian language.
2.What small successes do you have every day?
Every day I have to get up for going to school. I think that it's real success because sometimes it's hard to do it, especially when last night you went to bed late.
3.How would you define success?
Success is a mix of talant, opportunities and hard work. If you lose one of the ingredients you've never be successful.
4. Is success a journey or a destination?
It's a hard to say. All depend on goals. If you want to achieve success that success will be your destination. But If you have a big dream that success it's just an exciting journey for you.
5.What is your formula or recipe for success?
My formula is simple. Exact aim + ambitions + use opportunities + hard work = success. And the general rule: never be lazy because it prevents achieve goals.
6.Does success keep you happy?
Maybe, but not for a long time. For me success is a journey so I just smile when I feel successful and go forward.
7.Do you think success breeds success?
No, I think. Often when people achieve success they just stop or relax so they can't breeds success.
8. Do you think you can teach someone to be successful?
No, I definitely don't. I'm too lazy to be successful, so I can't give a good education in this sphere for anyone else.
9. Someone once said: "Success is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you get." Do you agree with this quote?
No, I don't. Success it's not a happiness in my opinion, you can be successful but haven't got love or money or childnen and ect.
10.Someone once said: "The two hardest things to handle in life are failure and success." What do you think of this?
I'm sure that it's the right qoute. Whan you're failб you feel depressed and you jгst drop your hands. And when you're successful, you become conceited and too seif-confident. It's hard to find a golden mean.

Time and me
I think about my future a lot but I've never planed my time. Maybe it's sound wierd but I enjoy the present too. I want to catch every moment of life and try everything. I see myself as a journalist in the future, so I'm going to go to a good university. Because of it I'm trying to study hard, so I have almost no leisure time. I have my medical check-up once a year, also I do ragular exercises every morning and go dancing 6 time a week. As for my friends, if we want to spend free time togather I always find time for them, we love remembering funny stories from our childhood.

Dear Pam,
Thank your for your letter. I'm glad to hear from you! How your school progect are? I hope that it's fine.
Well, I'm writing you to tell about advertising. I hate them! When I watch my favorite film on TV or just morning programm, there are a lot of adverts (4 or 5 at a time). They usually appear suddenly and you forsed to watch them for about 5 minutes! But there are some advertisments that I love. For example, adverts of juice or perfume because not onle is the music nice but also the plot of advert is creative. I don't trust advertisements because advertasers can say anything, so we bought their product. But sometimes adverts correspond to reality. So it's difficult to say about truthful of ads.
Anyway, I'm happy that you desided to go to Spanish lessons. It's really beautiful language. How much is one lesson cost in your country? How long is the course? Do you want to go to Spain after graduation?
So, sorry but I must finish now - my mum want me to help her. Wtite me back. I'm waiting for your answer.
Best wishes,
Vasilisa

You're worth it!
1. Perfume famous brand Chanel, created in 1921 by perfumer Ernest Beaux is being advertised on this picture.
Advertisers use the image of a beautiful woman to attract female attention, because every woman, who saw the picture, wants to look like the girl from advertising. Also the girl looks very happy because she is smiling, it means that she is loved. And in our time, every woman wants to be loved.
2. Slogan. That's what distinguishes advertising from the text, from other commercials in those days. In conventional advertising advertisers used the image of women to attract attention. In such advertisements woman didn't speak, they just sat with a pretty face.
3. Honestly, I rarely watch TV, and even more rarely watch commercials. So I can't say anything about any stereotypes in advertising.

Advertising
- Is it easy to get away from advertising?
- Do you agree that advertising affects people? Why or why not?
- If you were a company owner would you spend money on advertising? Why or why not?
- Which adverts do you like most? Why?
The second ones is ads of juice "Я" :
Because of the music - it's the main criterion of select your favorite ads. This ad is short and it's important for me.
- Which ads annoy you most? Why?
- Do you usually shop around or do you buy the first product you find?
- Do you read product reviews before buying anything?
- Do you check out prices and compare products on the Net?

Describing scenes. "Paperman"
Well, the scene starts off with a sad man staying on subway platform with a stack of papers. Then suddenly one piece of paper flies past him and the man sees a woman, who trying to catch this piece of paper. The woman finally catches it and stays next to the man, who doesn't sad any more, he is smiling. At first, the wind blows and one of the man's paper fells on a woman's face. He takes it, and the woman smiles. It's just hilarious because on the sheet is a trace of her lipstick, both of them start laughing. Anyway, the trian came and the girl goes inside and the train starts moving, she looks at the window and sese his dolorous face, he
stays and clutches the paper with the imprint of lipstick in hand. The next thing to happen is that
at work the man's boss gives him a stack of documents, man lookes at the window and sees this girl in the opposite
building so the man immediately desids to send a paper airplane through the window of the building. It's so funny
because he is sending and sending and sending the airplanes but he always fails! Finally there was a single sheet left,
the one with the imprint. He folds it and wans to send it flying, but the wind blows and it slipps out of the man's
hands. It's ridiculous because he runs outside and see this piece of paper and he is so sad that he angrily sents the
airplane in the sky and he reaches the house of the girl, where there were all the others sent airplanes! Eventually,
these airplanes lead a man and woman on the same subway station! In the end, they are happy to see each other.

Talking about my media use
To get information about my inerests, I often check out online music or film web-sites like kinopoisk.ru. Whenever I want to keep up with the latest local news, I watch the news on TV on "STS" channel, but I don't read any newspapers. To chill out, I read books online on book-online.com.ua and listen to music in vk.com. I don't watch TV, so I don't have a favourite programm. But I love waching TV-shows online and my favourite one is "Reign". When I want to express my own opinion, I post comments on blogger.com or write something in my personal blog (iread-iwatch.blogspot.com). №2. "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins (Trilogy)
Imagine North America after an apocalyptic event. Most likely you've thought about the ruins and devastation. But you are wrong. In place of the old America formed a powerful state called Panem.Which includes the сapital, called Capitol, and 13 districts, the last one was destroyed for trying to revolt against the government. As punishment for a past rebellion against the Capitol make the Hunger Games, which involve one boy and one girl between 12 and 18 years from each district's, only one can win, and the rest will die. It is the hard time to poor families. But one day a girl at the age of 16 Katniss change the rules and give hope to people.
№3. "Visual Thinking" by Dan Roam
Have you explain something to people? And if you ever succeeded, and people understand that you want to tell them? Probably not. But do not despair, this book will be your good helper in this. You may have noticed that the images with a minimal amount you memorize faster than the huge texts. This is the whole essence of visual thinking. Man sees not only the eyes but also imagination. The day we dozens of times mentally create the images and pictures of something. Images and drawings can clearly reflect the complex concepts combine and synthesize information, they are useful to clarify and resolve the most complex issues.

Opinion essay. Topic: "Buying goods in large supermarkets is better than in small shops"
A supermarket, a large form of the traditional grocery store, is a self-service shop offering a wide variety of food and household products, organized into aisles. So, it's better to buy food in supermarkets than in small shops. Accordin to Bureau of Labor Statistics, the supermarket is a store offering a full line of groceries, meat, and produce with at least $2 million in annual sales. These stores typically carry anywhere from 15,000 to 60,000 SKUs and may offer a service deli, a service bakery, and/or pharmacy.
In my point of view, supermarkets are really better than small shops. For example, supermarkets work only with suppliers who can provide good quality products in large quantities. Because supermarkets can only sell things that customers want, they listen very carefully to customers views. Furthermore, in supermarkets, there is a discount system, which is very convenient and beneficial for the buyer because visitors can buy all the things they need in one place at a low price as well.
On the other hand, advocates of small shops say that, apart from shopping at supermarkets pollutes the environment and damages human health because the biggest single cause of global warming is vehicle pollution. The average item of food purchased from a supermarket travels over 1000 miles; by lorry/plane from the producer to the store and then by car from the store to the consumer, people only buy a set quantity of food, so if they buy it in a supermarket, they won't buy it in local shops as well. That puts village shops and high street stores out of business. Moreover, shopping at supermarkets is destroying British agriculture and ruining the countryside. Big farmers are getting bigger to survive because of the price control by supermakets while small farmers are going bust, leading to farming monoculture and unemployment.
That may be right, but I don't thing that it's really big problems of supermarkets. In the end, we can make the transportation of food and its packaging is better and safer for humans.
To sum up, despite some enviroment problems supermarkets the best place to buy goods because customers easier to buy everything in the hold position than the search for products to different stores, supermarkets give customers exactly what they want - quality and low prices although supermarkets significantly affect the economy of the country.
